Role Codes
To use the Multiple Roles functionality, Role Codes must be configured first. Role Codes represent all possible Roles employees of companies would take (e.g. ACOOK for Assistant Cook).

Rules and Guidelines
- Role Codes must be unique per Preceda database.
- Each database can have an unlimited number of Role Codes.
- Role Code allows up to 10 characters to support a meaningful naming.
- Role Codes will be available for use on Roles screen and Roles Mapper (M001768).
- Role Codes will be available for use on Data Entry screens for employees with Roles effective as at the Period End, To Date (if available) or Costing Date (if available).
- Role Codes will be available on Earnings History if the employee is paid against it.
Field Information
Code
Enter a unique Role Code in an identifiable way so that it is recognisable and searchable. This field allows up to 10 characters to support a meaningful naming.
A Role Code cannot be changed once created because it is the primary key.
Description
Enter a meaningful description for the Role Code.
